The file vanished.

That’s when I saw the yellow bar.

The cursor moved on its own. It opened Notepad and typed: activex windows 7

I slammed the power button. Nothing. I held it down. Nothing. I unplugged the machine.

Silence.

The browser groaned to life. The navigation bar filled with URLs from a previous era. I typed “youtube.com” and hit Enter.

And then I saw it.

When my dad returned, he noticed nothing. But sometimes, at 3:00 AM, the Dell still wakes up. The hard drive chatters. The fan spins for exactly 30 seconds. Then silence.
