The Shortest & Most Comprehensive (Durood-e-Ashrafi / Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) The Prophet (ﷺ) said that the best Durood is the one that is shortest in wording but vast in meaning. Simply saying Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (ﷺ) is a complete Durood .

It’s a beautiful and spiritually rewarding question. When asked for the "best" Durud Sharif (also spelled Durood or Salawat ), Islamic scholars agree that while all salutations upon the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) are virtuous, the are those that were taught by the Prophet (ﷺ) himself or by the Sahaba (companions) as transmitted through authentic hadith. This is the Durood recited in the Tashahhud during every prayer (Salah).
