It analyzes how episode pacing, filler content, saga segmentation, and transformation sequences evolved in response to weekly serialization, manga publication schedules, and audience demand. The study argues that Dragon Ball episodes pioneered the modern “battle shōnen template,” influencing global action storytelling through cliffhanger economy and power-up spectacle. 1.
