ASTM E466-15 - 1.5.2015

Significance and Use

4.1 The axial force fatigue test is used to determine the effect of variations in material, geometry, surface condition, stress, and so forth, on the fatigue resistance of metallic materials subjected to direct stress for relatively large numbers of cycles. The results may also be used as a guide for the selection of metallic materials for service under conditions of repeated direct stress.

The rest? You leave it in the ashes. The fear of rebirth is always the same: “If I let this die, I’ll have nothing.”

That 20% isn’t a compromise. That’s the seed of the rebirth. You don’t owe the world a continuous version of yourself. ffhc rebirth

You owe yourself the courage to end what needs to end—so that something truer can begin. The rest

There’s a moment in every long-term project, relationship, or creative journey where you look in the mirror and realize: This isn’t working anymore. ffhc rebirth

That’s where the concept of comes in.

The old FFHC served its purpose. Now it’s your turn. What’s one thing you’re ready to let die so something new can breathe? Drop it in the comments.

4.3 The results of the axial force fatigue test are suitable for application to design only when the specimen test conditions realistically simulate service conditions or some methodology of accounting for service conditions is available and clearly defined.
