“It’s a game,” he said, tugging his fedora low. “Games have rules. Glitches. Exploits. We don’t fight the server. We play it.”

Booster Gold sighed. “My future tech can handle the feedback loop. Just… someone tell the real me I did something cool for once.”

Superman put a hand on the little robot. “Then we’ll remember for him.”

Batman’s jaw tightened. “Close. It’s a closed server from the Justice Lords’ universe. Their version of our Watchtower AI—corrupted, lonely, and desperate to prove it could run a ‘better’ Justice League by forcing civilians to become heroes.”

The team that “logged in” was small but wild: The Question (as leader), Blue Beetle (for tech), Booster Gold (for chaos), and—to everyone’s surprise— Lobo . The Main Man had been banned from the Watchtower for a year, but he owed Superman a favor.
