They cross paths with Jorge (Giancarlo Esposito) and Brenda (Rosa Salazar), who help them reach a resistance group called the Right Arm. The final chapter begins with a high-stakes train heist to free captured Gladers, which fails. Newt is revealed to be infected with the Flare, his condition worsening. Inside WCKD’s headquarters, Thomas confronts Ava Paige (Patricia Clarkson) and learns the final secret: the cure can only be synthesized from a specific brain pattern—Newt’s. In a tragic climax, Newt succumbs to the Flare, forcing Thomas to kill him. Minho is freed, and Thomas destroys WCKD’s lab.
