The final episodes resolve the core conflicts: Shinichi Izumi’s harrowing journey from a timid teen to a being straddling humanity and parasite nature, his complex bond with the parasite Migi, and the ultimate threat of Gotou.
Crucially, The Grey is to the anime. It is a side-story set in the same universe, following new characters in South Korea during a simultaneous (or different) parasite outbreak. However, the Parasyte universe is not dead. for a fresh, thrilling take on the same terrifying concept. And if that show gets a second season, you can enjoy new parasite horror — just not with Shinichi and Migi. The short answer is — at least, not
The ending is deliberate and conclusive. Shinichi reclaims his humanity, Migi chooses a permanent silence, and the parasitic threat recedes from public view. There is no cliffhanger, no lingering villain, and no source material left to adapt.
