How to Safely Clear a Jammed Paper Shredder
1️⃣ Hold it for 5–10 seconds. This often backs the jam right out. 2️⃣ Remove the Top Layer. Gently pull the unstuck papers from the top. Never pull from the bottom. 3️⃣ Reduce the Load. Take half the sheets out. Shredders jam when you exceed their sheet capacity (e.g., 10 sheets vs. an 8-sheet limit).
Turn the shredder to REVERSE and pull up gently on the paper. 90% of jams release immediately. If not, unplug it and become a surgeon with a pair of tweezers.
