The mastermind behind this was Stephen Fung, a Hong Kong film director and action choreographer (and a childhood friend of Daniel Wu). AMC gave Fung and his team, including legendary fight coordinator Andy Cheng (a veteran of the Rush Hour franchise), an unprecedented amount of time to stage each fight. A typical episode took eight days to shoot; the fight sequences alone consumed four of those days. This is the story of how a show
