Zazu - Thousand Yard Stare
Zazu finally turned his whole body toward the young king. His eyes were wet and dark.
"Zazu," Simba said quietly. "You haven't moved in an hour."
"Very good, Your Majesty," he said. And this time, when he looked at the cave wall, he saw the stone. thousand yard stare zazu
"Yes, Sire," Zazu whispered. Then, a tiny, almost imperceptible crack in his voice. "The morning report for tomorrow: the water buffalo are calving early, the baobab near the eastern watering hole has blossomed out of season, and… and I believe I might sleep through the dawn for the first time in a decade."
Zazu's beak opened, then closed. He looked back at that invisible point on the wall. "Do you know what I remember most, Sire? Not the fire. Not the famine. Not even the little skulls near the elephant graveyard." Zazu finally turned his whole body toward the young king
"Zazu," Simba said, nudging the perch with his nose.
Zazu looked at the darkness outside. "Is it." "You haven't moved in an hour
He swallowed.
