“Virus Alert!” Pop-Up Scam: Don’t Tap That Fake Warning

You’re browsing a website, looking for a recipe or checking sports scores. Suddenly, your phone or computer vibrates. A flashing red box appears: or “WINDOWS DETECTED MALWARE – CALL SUPPORT IMMEDIATELY.”
